Tatiane Mauree heads up the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Bishop Burton College
Tatiane Mauree enjoyed a good weekend at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire when she won the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round on Sunday.
With all eyes on the two Horse of the Year Show tickets on offer for this October’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final, the fifty-eight starters battled it out until just eighteen were left to go head to head in the final jump off.
Thirteen year-old Tatiane from Newbury, Berkshire gave the best performance in the jump off with the 8 year-old bay mare Horseabout Zibu owned by Arlina Mauree. In a competitive final jump off, this combination was unlucky to pick up 4 faults in the latter part of the course, but their time was to prove fast enough for first place after they crossed the finish line in 45.68 seconds.
The riders and ponies that finished in third to fifth took home the chance to compete in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Masters at the British Showjumping National Championships.
