Why Low Calorie Balancer?

For safe controlled weight loss, with incredibly low sugar and starch levels. A super-concentrated formulation ensuring nutritional needs are met in a calorie-controlled diet.

Does your pony/horse need to lose weight in a safe, controlled manner?

Does your pony/horse require a diet extremely low in starch and sugar?

Blue Chip Low Calorie has been carefully formulated using the latest research on calorie control and nutrition. Low Calorie delivers minimal levels of starch and sugar whilst still providing all the essential nutrients required for a horse or pony on a calorie-controlled diet. Combining all the high-quality ingredients of Blue Chip Feed Balancers PLUS added Cinnamon and L-Carnitine for supported weight loss. Low Calorie is extremely low in starch and sugar, 4 times less non-structural carbohydrates than many other similarly marketed products.

Feeding Tip: No need to bucket feed, treat from the hand.

Key Ingredients

Super concentrated formulation - Low Calorie is a highly nutrient-dense balancer, formulated to be fed in small quantities to support weight management. Like all Blue Chip balancers, Low Calorie is whole grain and molasses free, and formulated to maintain daily health in all horses and ponies.

Cinnamon - Helps in the lowering of blood sugar levels, improving glucose tolerance and insulin sensitivity.

L-Carnitine - An amino acid derivative that aids the process of fat burning.

Double-action digestive supplement - Gastric health is especially important for horses or ponies on a diet. Low Calorie combines a high concentration of probiotics with nucleotides to restore the natural balance of the gut flora and help maintain the natural well-being of the digestive system, allowing optimum utilisation of the carefully formulated combination of vitamins, minerals and nutrients present. Proven to increase forage digestibility by up to 100% in a study conducted by Hartpury College.

Nucleotides - Essential to every cell in the body, a key part of the digestive supplement, they are the building blocks of DNA and RNA. Nucleotides help support immunity, stamina, cell replication, and repair of damaged cells.

Nutritional profile - To ensure the correct functioning of the metabolic system, central nervous system and immune system, a full nutrient, vitamin and mineral profile is included. Blue Chip uses organic/chelated minerals to ensure optimum absorption and effectiveness.

Skin and coat - Low Calorie benefits from added oils and organic zinc to support skin and coat quality. Blue Chip uses soya oil and linseed oil, natural, vegetable sources of omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Combined with organic zinc, the oils ensure healthy, scurf-free skin and a glossy, gleaming coat.

SoundHoof™ - A complete hoof supplement is included in the Low Calorie. This contains biotin, methionine, lysine, organic zinc and organic copper for the formation of strong, pliable, good-quality hooves.

PrimoVento™ - All Blue Chip balancers contain a complete respiratory supplement with antioxidants, menthol, eucalyptus and garlic to soothe the airways and maintain lung health and integrity.

Immune support - For horses and ponies on diets, it’s especially important to include antioxidants to support overall health. Blue Chip uses selenium, vitamin C and vitamin E to aid the ‘mopping up’ of free radicals and promote a healthy immune system.

Complete vitamin, mineral, and nutrient package - This ensures correct functioning of the metabolic system, central nervous system and immune system. Blue Chip uses organic/chelated minerals where possible to ensure optimum absorption and effectiveness.
