Emily Dunstan - Event Rider, Vlogger and British Eventing Ambassador

Launceston BE, Emily and Lola stepped up to BE100 and came 3^rd with a double clear! Emily says "Double clears don’t come easy and don’t happen very often especially at that height so I was literally beaming!"

Emily also loved the BRC National Horse Trials, where they came 5^th as a team and tenth individually. "Completing the XC clear after doing roads and tracks and steeplechase was such an huge achievement and I was so proud of Lola and myself."

Emily's favourite experience with Sprite was WINNING the Quadrille BRC Championship earlier in November 2091. "It was an epic weekend full of fun and laughter and memories to treasure for ever!"

Current horses:

Sprite, her golden oldie who at 24 is still super fit and loving life. She is a 14.3hh, Thoroughbred X, feisty chestnut mare who Emily has owned for 13/14 years.

Lola, a 9 year old, Bay, British Sports horse who Emily has owned since she was an unbroken 3 year old. They have had an eventful journey together but they definitely seem to be getting there.

Ambitions for 2020:

After getting to Badminton Grassroots with Sprite in 2017 Emily would love to get back there with Lola. Their regional final was cancelled at the end of this year so they do have one shot at it next year at the beginning of the season.

Emily's favourite thing to do is schooling. "I absolutely love loosing myself whilst schooling so much so I quite often end up schooling a lot longer than I originally plan. I think it is also the fact it can be so varied and work on different things. Trying new exercises I think also helps stimulate the brain. Again this has a close second to this which is plaiting and getting the horses ready for competition."

Aside from horses, Emily likes to exercise, read books and a good board game! "I also love going for walks around the countryside with my parents dog Millie and of course I love to vlog all aspects of life!"
