Berkshire’s Thomas Bradburne lands the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Arena UK

The first of the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds took place on Sunday during the Pony Premier Show at Arena UK and it was Thomas Bradburne who clinched the win. With a starting field of seventy-six, many riders felt the pressure and only fourteen combinations went through to the final jump-off. Fifteen-year-old Thomas from Hungerford, Berkshire piloted Gee Bradburne’s 8-year-old Derryinver Rocky, to victory in 39.31 seconds. Carnsdale Irish Times WINS Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) £2000 Challenge

Record entries and a fabulous atmosphere awaited horses and riders at the recent Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) 40th Annual Breed Show, held at Arena UK, Lincolnshire. “I still can’t believe we won” says rider Faye Ludlow, after they took the honours with Michael Lewis’ Carnsdale Irish Times in the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2000 Challenge. Judge Mark Fitton commented "This Championship is the best advertisement for the Irish Draught horse and this years' final was a sight to behold.  It was the best days judging I have had in years."
