Rachel Proudley takes the top spot in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Keysoe Equestrian Centre

The Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round took place on Saturday during the Pony Premier Show at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe in Bedfordshire and it was Rachel Proudley who landed at the top of the leader board with Ashleigh Effard’s 17 year-old British bred mare Family Affaer II.   Eighty-one combinations came forward to take on David Cole’s track with the hope of gaining one of the four qualifying tickets for this year’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show that will take place in October. Jodie Burchmore-Eames lands the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at South View Equestrian Centre

The second of the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds took place on Saturday during the Pony Premier Show at South View Equestrian Centre in Winsford, Cheshire and it was Jodie Burchmore-Eames who clinched the win. With a starting field of 97 and only 4 qualifying tickets for this year’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show that will take place in October, many riders felt the pressure and only ten combinations went through to the final jump-off. 16 year-old Jodie from Northchurch, Hertfordshire piloted Jack Eames’ 7 year-old Mighty Mouse W Van De Dauwhoeve, with whom she won the Pony of the Year Show JC Grand Prix Final last month, to victory in 43.54...

Jessica Howard and Tinkas Gentleman Jim win the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Masters

Jessica Howard and Tinkas Gentleman Jim were crowned the winners of the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Masters in the final class of the day at the British Showjumping National Championships 2018.  As the final combination to go in the 16 pony jump off, Jessica flew round the up to height course and finished four seconds ahead of second place Alena Hughes and Alena’s Ennistymon. Jessica has travelled from Keysoe for the Championships and has been riding Tinka since December last year. In their first season together they have already enjoyed wins at Hickstead, Keysoe and the Blue Chip Winter Championships but had so far missed out on their HOYS qualification four times throughout the season…..until today. Tahnia Jordan Jones wins the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Bicton Arena

Tahnia Jordan Jones stormed to victory in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round held at Bicton Arena in Salterton, Devon on Saturday.  With two Horse of the Year Show tickets on offer for this October’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final, two action packed rounds ensued before just nine combinations remained to go head to head in the final jump off.  Sixteen year-old Tahnia Jordan Jones from Swindon, Wiltshire finished in first place with Kerry Grimster’s 6 year-old grey mare, Heartbreaker Express II.
