Blue Chip Pony Newcomers - Chard and Muirmill

  Congratulations to both Thomas Bradburne and Poppy Deakin who were the latest winners in the final Blue Chip Pony Newcomers second rounds to qualify for Aintree. With the only double clear of the class, Thomas Bradburne secured top spot in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Chard Equestrian. Riding Gee Bradburne's Derryinver Rocky, Thomas crossed the finish line with his second clear round in 41.46 seconds. Poppy Deakin won the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Muirmill Equestrian Centre. Riding Felicity Deakin's Icaris W, the combination jumped two stylish rounds to finish with a double clear in 38.92 seconds. Tabitha takes top spot

Last weekend saw another Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round, this time at the fabulous Vale View Equestrian Centre. The winner this time was Tabitha Kyle riding Tanya Kyle's Nightgirl Van Het Sonnishof Z. This exciting combination jumped two clear rounds to finish in 36.85 seconds! Well done Tabitha, we'll see you at Aintree for the finals!

Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds 2020

The Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship 2020 will be held during a NEW indoor Championship Show at Aintree Equestrian Centre between 7 – 11 October 2020. Second rounds will be held at the following venues on the following dates; Onley Grounds Equestrian Complex (29th August – 1st September) Bury Farm Equestrian Village (5th – 6th September) South View Equestrian Centre  (5th – 6th September) Vale View Equestrian (12th – 13th September) Wales & West Shows (19th – 20th September) Muirmill Equestrian Centre (26th – 27th September) The top eight combinations in each second round will move forward to the Championship. An incredible 1-2 for Daisy Williams in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship

Daisy Williams made her first time at Horse of the Year Show one to remember, taking both first and second place in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship with her two ponies, Bermudez BDA and King III respectively. The Lincolnshire-based teenager, who celebrates her 14th birthday next week, got an early birthday surprise when she took to the Andrews Bowen International Arena on day two at Horse of the Year Show. As first to jump in the seven pony jump off, she cleared a textbook round aboard Bermudez BDA. Rachel Proudley takes the top spot in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at Keysoe Equestrian Centre

The Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round took place on Saturday during the Pony Premier Show at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe in Bedfordshire and it was Rachel Proudley who landed at the top of the leader board with Ashleigh Effard’s 17 year-old British bred mare Family Affaer II.   Eighty-one combinations came forward to take on David Cole’s track with the hope of gaining one of the four qualifying tickets for this year’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show that will take place in October.
