The final Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round of this year took place on Sunday during the Welsh Home Pony at Wales and West Showground near Newport, Monmouthshire and it was Seamus Taylor who bagged the win and a Championship qualifying spot. With a large field of eighty-six combinations coming forward to try and gain one of four remaining places in the sought after Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final, held at Horse of the Year Show in October, Course Designer Rafael Suarez had a big task on hand to reduce the numbers. Rachel Proudley scores a win in the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at the Harbro Scottish Home Pony

  The Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round took place on Sunday during the Harbro Scottish Home Pony Show at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre (SNEC) in Broxburn, West Lothian and it was Rachel Proudley who gained herself another direct qualifying ticket, this time with David Wick’s Robe Silver Lady. Thirty-eight competitors came forward with the hopes of obtaining one of the four Horse of the Year Show tickets on offer for the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final, held at Horse of the Year Show in October. Jodie Burchmore-Eames lands the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Round at South View Equestrian Centre

The second of the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds took place on Saturday during the Pony Premier Show at South View Equestrian Centre in Winsford, Cheshire and it was Jodie Burchmore-Eames who clinched the win. With a starting field of 97 and only 4 qualifying tickets for this year’s Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show that will take place in October, many riders felt the pressure and only ten combinations went through to the final jump-off. 16 year-old Jodie from Northchurch, Hertfordshire piloted Jack Eames’ 7 year-old Mighty Mouse W Van De Dauwhoeve, with whom she won the Pony of the Year Show JC Grand Prix Final last month, to victory in 43.54...
