The bad news first, our wonderful race-horse Come on Blue Chip, lost his battle to over-come his broken neck injury, and we very sadly had to have him put down after trying for eight months to save him. Having had him since he was a foal this was a devastating day for all of us.
Now the good news, Blue Chip Forever has had a great season in Medium dressage classes and is now scoring over 70% and has won just about every class he has been in. He has qualified for next year’s Winter Regionals in Medium Restricted and in both Medium and Advanced Medium freestyle. Jane Stephenson, who helps to look after him also took him to The National Hunter Show where he was Reserve Supreme Champion Sports Horse.
Our new four year old ‘Happy Birthday Blue Chip’ is just the sweetest horse, he loves people, he has not stopped growing since his arrival from Germany, so we are just taking him slowly, and he will be going to his first dressage competition in the next couple of weeks.
Our retired companion pony ‘Cassie’ looks exceptionally healthy and well this year, fed on our new balancer Original Native, it really suits her, she has always had itchy skin, but fed on Original Native, she has stopped scratching and rubbing her tail.
I’m Blue Chip Too aged 19 is also looking better than ever, competing in veteran classes, he has been to nine shows, winning at 7 of them and being second twice. We still haven’t managed to get that elusive Olympia ticket, and only have two more chances, so fingers crossed.
Blue Chip the company continues to grow, with our Native Pony Balancer proving to be just the answer to help keep Natives in optimum condition. We are constantly working on improving our feed balancers and supplements to give you and your horses’ access to the most up to date advances in equine nutrition. We are also researching new products and will keep you updated as to when these revolutionary new products will be available to you.
I hope all your horses and ponies are doing well, please keep sending in your emails and photos, everyone at Blue Chip likes to know how well your horses and ponies are doing.
