April has been the most hectic month of the year so far! On the 31st March to the 1st April we were at the IDHT National Championships held at The College EC, Keysoe. We qualified for this event after being the highest placed Junior in the Wessex Region points league. This event was doubly important as it was also a selection event for the FEI Junior European Championships in Austria this July.
The horses and I have been really busy having their annual MoT from the vet, dentist and bowen therapist.
I was part of a 4 person team on Good Friday in the Kingsleaze Riding Club 10 mile Castle Coombe treasure hunt.
We are off to the Indoor National Championships held at The College EC in Keysoe today. The past month has been fairly quiet for us, with all efforts concentrated on preparing Jasper for Keysoe. He has spent a week at my instructor Jude Holloway’s yard, being schooled, being clipped, having his mane pulled and he has been re-shod.
Blue Chip’s sponsored rider Beth Vernon has won the Blue Chip Pro Sparkle JC/JA Championship at the Winter Championships at Hartpury for the fourth year running, she won with her lovely pony Zirina IV. . . . . . . . . .

Beth had a busy weekend, with all the ponies and horses jumping well on Sunday. It was a long day, with Blitzer Go’s class not starting until 7.20pm, it was a rush to get it finished before it went dark! Blitz did really well, and finished 2nd. Lilly (Zirina) had 4f but jumped well, Ellie (Cinderella Girl) jumped clear then 4f, and Mex (Falaza) jumped triple clear to win her class!
