Lots has been going on for me with eventing this summer, the main being travelling to France for Haras Du Pin CCIP* International with my two ponies, with one pony being 1 of only 2 combinations in the whole competition (the other was the winner) to finish on our dressage score, and we finished 7th. I also jumped 2 of only 3 clear show-jumping rounds!
“My grey horse (attached photo) Rainstown Frost, has done two more double-clears at BE Novice level – meaning he has a 100% double clear record at BE novice, with 4/4 double clears – I’m very pleased considering he is only 6! Hi Blue Chip, Sorry, I haven’t been updating you for a while, things have been very busy with the horses recently! They have all come on leaps and bounds, including my rising 6yo gelding that I have produced myself coming 4th at a Novice Combined Training, with 66% at his first attempt at an elementary test and just 1 pole in the 1m15 SJ.
Aldon I took my 14hh dun mare (Winnal Bee Bee Banwee) in the ONu18 (equivalent to BE novice height, 1m10-1m15) where she did not one of her best dressage tests & scored 38, & I know she is capable of better. She didn’t use to be the most careful jumper but she’s finally got the hang of tucking up her legs – and just tipped the LAST fence in the showjumping, which was a shame!
