February Update From Beth Vernon

On Saturday Beth took Blitz (Blitzer Go) to Arena UK, where they jumped the Hickstead Winter Novice qualifier; they came 2nd , qualifying for Hickstead!

Out of 77 starters and there was about 30 in the jump off; it was the biggest Blitz had ever jumped, and the most he’s ever been pushed in a jump off. He jumped amazingly and Beth was really pleased with him.

On Sunday Beth took Falaza and Zirina as well as Mercutio (Max) and Cavaliers Royale Princess (Naomi), two that Beth is riding for other people.

Naomi jumped double clear in the Britsh Novice and Discovery; Max had clear and 4 in both the Discovery and Newcomers. Zirina qualified for Scope in the Adventure and Member Cup. Falaza jumped double clear and won the Members Cup, she just went out for a little pop round before Scotland this weekend.

Beth is looking forward to next week because hopefully her 4 year old horse (Za Touché/Peco for the stable) will becoming home as she has just been backed. Beth’s aims for her this year is to jump the 4 year old class at Scope; she had a foal last year so her and her son will hopefully be ones for the future.
