“I’ve had a really busy couple of months. Beginning of October I spent 2 weeks in cagnes Sur mer at a 2* show. Omane des faux was placed most days and won a class. Both 6year olds Pewit Nono and Troy were clear every day.
Then we went to Lyon World Cup show. Thomas jumped clear in the world ranking class and was placed, but Grand Prix day was a bit unlucky with a fence down.
Billy has broken his hand and is out of action for a couple of weeks, so it’s keeping me busy on the yard with only 1 rider.”
“Harley finishing 2nd in small 6 bar challenge last round = 1,45!! Think we have a special young horse here!
Happy new year !!! “
“Well it’s been a busy time for Team Joynson with a range of events and training.
Lloyd has come back into work and is progressing well. I have had some training of a range of horses that I hope to compete next year. Jim took part in the British Dressage inter-county team selections for elementary/medium level. April competed Ellie & Robin at West Wilts Equestrian centre where she did her first elementary.
They had a fab day with Robin winning both novice tests with 76% scores and won her elementary & 2nd in the novice. They also appeared in Horse & Hound for winning both novice tests in their first show together. They are now qualified for the Area Festivals & Regionals in just two outings. They are also going through the BYRDS ‘B’ squad testing and are doing fab. They are off training tomorrow and will be competing next Saturday.
I have been working Champers, Digit (who I would like to buy, but sadly just don’t have the finances) Jim & Lloyd. Just before Christmas I had some spinal surgery, after some old war-wounds had begun to play up again. I am now back up and running and enjoying my riding and the coming season.
April was hinted that she will be put forward for the British Dressage regional & England Byrds team’s. They will also be part of the dressage under 21’s and going to the high profile shows. So plenty of advertising for Blue Chip. The horses all look really fab on their feed. Our trading yard is thriving and we recommend a all our liveries to use Blue Chip.”
“The stables have been cleared, hosed down, disinfected and repainted while the horses were on holiday, and we now have a purpose-built wash and dry area on the yard for the horses, and new rug drying racks – much in demand at the moment as you can imagine.
David had a very welcome two week break in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong, and Maggie and Tone had a good long holiday in Australia, starting with the 4* event in Adelaide, travelling through temperatures reaching 40 degrees to Ayers Rock, and finishing up in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands.
David and Duncan, with Zoe James and Magic Mike at the Avon Vale Boxing Day Meet at Lacock.”
“I have few updates from recent shows I went to Harrogate on the 22nd December where I had a good show getting 2nd on ocean breeze in the 85 amateur class, lapaloma won the 1.05 amateur and stanhopes good Friday jumped amazing to win the topscore!
I went back to Harrogate on the 23rd December where ocean breeze was 2nd again in both the 85&95 amateur classes and stanhopes good Friday won both the 1.05&110 amateur classes the horses jumped great and was a good end to a fantastic year with them.
Yesterday I went to bishop burton for the blue chip star qualifier where stanhopes good Friday jumped a fast double clear to finish 2nd. Looking forward to seeing what 2016 has to offer.”
