David has got a busy couple of months ahead of him, as the eventing season continues. 4th-7th July will see Barbury Horse Trials taking place, which is situated on David’s doorstep. He will be taking a number of horses to compete in the Novice, 2** and 3*** sections. Then, it’ll be straight on to Upton where he’s taking Mike and Harry in the BE100 5 year old section, and Brian in the Novice. David will have a bit of a change then, with some show-jumping for Frenchie and Jiggle. After a slightly quieter weekend it’s on to Dauntsey on the 17th July with Andrew and Vinnie, and then straight on to some dressage with Jiggle, Fox and Rico at WWEC. He will be riding several horses at West Buckland the following Saturday, before heading to Aston Le Walls for the Intermediate with Frenchie and Jiggle on the Sunday. A few days at Young Rider training will lead David into the start of August, where he is taking some of his youngsters to Homme House. Jiggle and Frenchie will be competing at the OIU21 at Aston Le Walls, whilst Brian and Harry will contest the Intermediate Novice here. The final trial for the OIU21 with Rico will be at Somerford Park on the 16th August, and Frenchie will be in the CIC**. The lorry will be loaded up to then head to France, with Jiggle, Brian and Fox for Haras Du Pin. The beginning of September will see David away for Young Rider training, and possibly competing at Burghley in the BYEH. The Young Rider Europeans held at Jardy will be running 11th – 15th September, with the Nations Cup in Italy 18th-22nd with Fox. The season will start to come to a close as October approaches, and David is hoping to take Jiggle and Frenchie in the CIC**, and Brian in the CIC*, at South Of England. The last planned event will be either Osberton or Ligniere at the beginning of October.
