BPL 24hr Horse Relay

Please accept our sincere thanks to Blue Chip for the donation of the vouchers and caps as prizes for the BPL 24HR Horse Relay raffle.

At 6pm on Friday 27th September 2013 our two main riders set on off on what was to be a huge challenge – riding for 24 hours non-stop. Accompanied by two additional riders, who changed every two hours, we had a total of 26 riders take part. The event was incredibly successful with both our endurance riders completing the challenge, riding for 24 hours on a designated route taking in the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire countryside.

En route, we received such amazing support from volunteers, local businesses and the general public. Whether that was from donating money, providing much needed refreshments or cheering and supporting. The event concluded with a celebratory party and raffle. In total, the event raised an amazing £11087.36!!! Just incredible. All of the money raised went to Breast Cancer Campaign and we couldn’t have done without your support.

Breast Cancer Campaign’s mission is to beat breast cancer by funding innovative, world-class research. They aim to be the leading specialist in breast cancer research across the UK and Ireland. Research is vital to saving lives and reducing the impact of a breast cancer diagnosis. It means that new treatments can be discovered and methods of diagnosis can be improved. One day, through research, a cure to breast cancer will be found. For more information on the amazing work Breast Cancer Campaign does, please visit: breastcancercampaign.org
