The Blue Chip North West Showing Championships took place on Saturday 17th September 2011 at Bridgewater Riding Club.
The show followed in the successful footsteps of previous events at the club, such as the North West Show Jumping Championships and the North West Working Hunter Championships.
Ruth Watson, Chairman of the Bridgewater Riding Club kindly wrote to us to tell us what a great day was had by all.
“May I please extend our grateful thanks to you from us here at Bridgewater Riding Club, for your kind sponsorship of our North West Showing Championships.
Throughout the season people from all the other clubs, who had registered to run qualifiers were getting really excited. The word spread quickly, with a lot of talk on Facebook and forums such as Horse Gossip.
We had people from all over, who had qualified, join the Bridgewater Riding Club mailing list.
It even got to the point where the event was referred to simply as ‘The Blue Chip’.
All class winners were delighted to receive a voucher and a bottle of Karma.
The baseball caps and saddle cloths proved to be hugely popular with our section Champions and the Supreme. As were the rosettes, which were awarded to everyone, meaning no one left empty handed.
There were a variety of classes, so there was something for everyone and the standard of the competitors was very high.
We were even lucky with the weather, experiencing only two showers.”
