Ben’s Coat Gleams Since Feeding Blue Chip

I have been feeding my Friesian cross Blue Chip from almost the day I bought him and have never looked back. I bought my daughter her first horse a Shire/Dales 18 months ago and even though he was just a ‘happy hacker’ put him on Blue Chip also. I can honestly say I have never looked back.

Both my horses are in excellent condition and their black coats are gleaming. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of Ben when we first got him but his coat was dull and scaly , his tail was in threads and parts of his mane missing he was not in very good condition at all . In his previous home we think he was used for driving , brilliant out on the road but no chance whatsoever for riding in the arena or schooling.

Not now, my daughter has started canter work, he is in fantastic condition and a different horse from when we bought him, although sold to us as a 12 year old the dentist aged him neared 20 and we think he looks ( and acts) about 6.  My daughter took him to his first show and he won 1st place for ‘handsome horse’ , she was really proud, she might never win a rosette for an agility class but he is definitely a horse with attitude and stands out from a crowd.  Since feeding Blue Chip his coat gleams, his condition is top class and his tail and feathers are fantastic.
