An update on the season so far from Lucas

“The Horses have started the season well.  Bazaars Hightown and Kateline went to Aston Le Walls for the BE100 Class and both jumped lovely double-clears to get placed; this was their first outing since last season so we were really pleased.  Cap That went to Lincoln for the Open Novice – he felt extremely well and loved being out again.

He did a 25 dressage which is our personal best, 4 faults SJ and clear XC to come 4th, so it was well worth the journey and the day spent in the freezing cold.  Stafford horse trials went well also.  We took Lux Zee for his fist ever event – he did a lovely test to get a respectable 30.5 and a double-clear which is very exciting.

Bazaars Hightown also did a double-clear but we incurred some time faults due to the rider going far too slow, she still came a respectable 6th in not very nice conditions.  Katelina was last to go; she did a very calm test which is great to get a 30 (joint leader) jumped a fabulous SJ round clear despite the most awful weather and ground conditions.

Then we were in the start box for XC and the event had to be cancelled due to the appalling weather conditions and the ambulance not being able to get around the course.  Stafford Horse Trials did a Fantastic job to carry on as long as they did.   We were meant to be going to Llanymynech next however it was abandoned due to being under water.  Our next event was Weston Park – Katelina and Bazaars Hightown were in the Novice and Cap That will be contesting the Intermediate. Exciting Times.”
