Amber had this to say about her amazing news, “I am so excited to be selected, as this is the highest level than we can compete in carriage driving, and we are the first junior drivers to compete at this level! Fortune Teller is also back with me, and we’ll be bringing her to full fitness, just in case I need her for a reserve, and also so that she is ready for the Nationals. This will be my fourth time competing internationally, but it will be Jasper’s first time. There is so much planning to do with lots of training and preparation going on. Unfortunately I still have my A Levels to sit in the next few weeks so will be squeezing that in around driving, and then once they are out of the way I can devote myself entirely to our trip. At the moment Jasper is having an easy week after having the physio come out to see him a couple of days ago, but after that I will be bringing him back to peak fitness ready for Austria. It is a huge honour to compete for my country and to do it on my home produced pony is even more special.
Thank you so much Blue Chip for supporting me every step of the way. You can follow our day to day progress on our trip of a lifetime on my blog at http://carriagedriver.net/carriage-driver-blog.php”
Everyone at Blue Chip wishes Amber the very best of luck in Austria– what a fantastic year to be selected to compete in the European Championships.
