This has been a very frustrating season as Fizz has had an unidentified allergy since the spring. Over five months on, we’ve just had our first clear scoping, which is an enormous relief. That means that our season has been cut to the bone, due to the vet not wanting her to travel, so we only managed one TREC full competition, where we took out a beginner as a pair on a short 20km competition, and still won. Over the winter, we’ll therefore now be able to do some indoor TREC competitions, and get set for 2015 with the British Championships due to be hosted by Scotland in August. The next big Championships are the Worlds in Span in 2016. I’m hoping there is no repeat of Fizz’s allergy next summer so that we can prep for that.
