Emma Pepperell is a 25 year old, amateur eventer, who juggles competing around studying at Oxford University.
She is one of the lucky winners of the Horse and Rider magazine competition to win a years sponsorship From Blue Chip Feed.
Emma has won a years supply of Blue chip feed balancer, a years supply of Blue Chip Joint RLF and lots of Blue chip Branded goodies including a fleece rug, saddlecloth, waistcoat, jacket and baseball cap.
Emma owns a 9 year old Irish ex pointer called Tippin, they are currently eventing at BE90 and hoping to move up to BE100 and Novice level.
Emma and Tippin have just completed their first ODE at the weekend at Ascott-Under-Wychwood PC event (90cm).They finished on their dressage score of 36 with a double clear and came 5th!
Lizzy McCready was another lucky winner and has sent us the following update;
“South of England was a pleasing outing, a 37 dressage and Hilton’s first British Eventing show jumping, and therefore double clear! He had a good fast cross country round, with was particularly great because we have always struggled to get inside the time. I can be sure to say that Blue Chip Pro has really given his energy levels a much needed boost! We finished 15th in a very competitive arena.
“On the 14th of April we took part in the Pony Club HSBC eventing training at Littleton Manor Equestrian Centre, with Eric Smiley. The day was full of great lessons and Hilton proved himself to be foot perfect in every challenge put in front of him.
“On the 16th of April, we headed back to South of England showground, this time for the Riding Club Area Combined Training Qualifier. I had two rides, Hilton and another horse who I ride for a good friend who is currently pregnant. We had a brilliant result with Hilton coming 1st and Frankie coming 2nd! This means Hilton will be heading up to Aston-le-Walls on 4th-5th of June to contest in the Festival of the Hunter National Championships. Here we will be contesting in the combined training, which can lead to a £1000 training bursary for the winner, and also the pairs cross country with my sister’s youngster.
“We are next entered for Nurstead BE100 U21 on the 1st May. This should give us one more confident run before we up the anti and enter a novice later in May. We are also moving yards jsut a few days before, to a very exclusive place that a friend has just bought, and is planning to turn into a serious competition yard, which should be very exciting!
“Everyone who has seen Hilton out and about has said how well he looks, and I have noticed a huge difference myself. His coat is in beautiful condition and his overall performance has risen, much to the happiness of his owner! ”
Well done to both winners!
